Refund Policy
Effective Date: June 1, 2026
At Goodfellow Mechanical, we take pride in providing honest, professional, and high-quality HVAC services. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may or may not be available.
Service Calls and Diagnostic Fees
Diagnostic fees, service call fees, trip charges, and after-hours service fees are non-refundable once a technician has been dispatched and services have been performed.
These fees compensate for travel time, diagnostic expertise, and the evaluation of your HVAC system.
Repairs
Once a repair has been completed and approved by the customer, labor charges are generally non-refundable.
If a repair fails during the applicable warranty period due to workmanship or a defective part supplied by Goodfellow Mechanical, we will make reasonable efforts to correct the issue in accordance with our warranty policy.
Refunds will not be issued for:
-
Existing system defects unrelated to the completed repair
-
Pre-existing equipment conditions
-
Manufacturer defects outside our control
-
Customer-requested changes after work has been completed
-
Equipment replacement recommendations that are declined by the customer
Equipment, Parts, and Special Orders
Special-order parts, custom materials, and equipment purchases are generally non-refundable once ordered.
Returned parts or equipment may be subject to manufacturer restocking fees, shipping charges, or supplier return policies.
Any approved refund for returned equipment will be reduced by applicable restocking or processing fees.
Installations
Deposits paid for equipment installations may be refundable prior to equipment ordering or project commencement.
Once equipment has been ordered, permits have been obtained, materials have been purchased, or work has begun, deposits may become partially or fully non-refundable.
Any refund requests related to installation projects will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Maintenance Services and Cleanings
Maintenance services, tune-ups, inspections, drain cleanings, evaporator coil cleanings, and blower cleanings are non-refundable once completed.
These services are performed based on the condition of the system at the time of service and cannot guarantee future system performance.
Membership Plans
If Goodfellow Mechanical offers maintenance agreements or membership plans, cancellation terms will be governed by the terms provided at enrollment.
Any earned discounts, completed services, or promotional benefits may be deducted from any eligible refund.
Warranty Service
Goodfellow Mechanical stands behind its workmanship.
Approved warranty claims will generally be resolved through repair or replacement of covered components rather than monetary refunds.
Warranty coverage is subject to the terms provided on the original invoice and any applicable manufacturer warranties.
